How Does This Work

Once your child is registered with Cambridge Guardians, he/she will come under the immediate guardianship of Mrs Clarke. Upon registration, a host family will be allocated to your child. This will be effectively the pupil's "home" in England. These host families are all located in and around the Cambridgeshire area so that Mrs Clarke can monitor them very carefully. Mrs Clarke is the chief liaison point for the pupil, the parents, the school and the host family.

Our host families are all professionals who often have their own children educated in independent schools. They all have CRB (Police) checks and their homes are of a high safety standard.

Mrs Clarke visits the pupil at least once a term to discuss progress and any problems and she attends the annual Parents/teachers' meeting, following which a report is sent to parents so that they have up-to-date information on their son/daughter's progress. By keeping in close touch with the child and the school, Mrs Clarke is able to monitor the child's development and pre-empt any problems at school. If necessary, extra tuition can be arranged either during school term or during holidays with the prior agreement of both the school and the parents.

To help ensure that Sixth Form pupils are well-prepared for their University admissions interview, Mrs Clarke is also able to set up extra mock interviews with professional bodies.
